Been a little while since a major post so let's get going with some 40k Orks just in time for Orktobe.... OK well I may have missed the traditional ork month but that doesn't mean the Orky goodness has to stop, just ask Nazdreg.
Why Nazdreg? Well today we are going to be looking at my special character inspired freshly painted Boss man.
Yes Slegg Bloodnug has finally got a miniature painted up again, that didn't take long did it, hmmm I started this blog in 2015.
I used the original Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub model with a slight conversion. Never really liked how he is waving his power fist in the air, as if to say "Hey look at me!" Also isn't he supposed to have a power claw like the art above suggests?
What I really would have liked to do is nick the original Commissar Yarrick power claw and convert him with that, unfortunately I don't have that model so instead I used one of the 3rd edition mega nobz power claws instead.
Here he is in all his Ork glory, not a warboss of a paticular clan but just the biggest and baddest, compared to the other orks.
Method for this was a skull white undercoat first.
Then wazdakka gore for the plated sections, leadbelcher metal for the metallic parts, goblin green for the skin and marine blue with a bit of black for the upper shoulder parts.
Tiny bit of highlighting with evil sunz red, mithril silver and brass scorpion.
Then chaos black wash for the whole model except the skin which got a dark angel green wash instead. Do love how this looks.
The banner moon was initally bad moon yellow, which I then dulled down with a mounfang brown mixed with dwarven bronze. Bit of drybrush with mithril silver.
Picking out some details after this, so teeth, eyes, bionic eye and some glyphs. The various skull trophies which were done in a similar way to the skelies for Heroquest.
Base is chaos black, glue and Javis Moorland Mixture.
Telescope bionic eye? Why is that not a thing??

Although I am not affiliating Slegg closely with any clan I do like the massive moon banner on the model. Just really creepy and effective.
